Send Holiday Love to Your Friends in Athletic Style

The Holidays are upon us, and if you’re like me, you may enjoy bringing your personal passions into other areas of life, such as sending out sports-theme holiday cards to all your training friends, coaches etc.

A lot of them come from artists on Etsy, which I love supporting creative entrepreneurs. Prices start at $2.95 U.S. and go up, and you can buy them as singles or a packs of 5 and 10. Be sure to check shipping details so you get your cards in time, to address and send out.

Happy Holidays!
1. Skeese - I came across Skeese many years ago, and they are fanatics about cycling.  All of their greeting cards include bike chain imagery and they offer more than just holiday greeting cards, you’ll find cards for every occasion.  And as a bonus, they now sponsor women’s triathlon races.

These are just a couple samples of what they offer. Price: $2.95/each or $13.95 / box set of 10

2. Zazzle - if you’re looking for a holiday card that’s more fitness related, rather than a specific sport , check out Zazzle and their “Merry Fitness” collection.  In addition to their elf and reindeer greeting cards, there is an endless supply of items you can get with the Merry Fitness theme including wrapping paper, ornaments, gift bags and more.  Price: $4.15 each

3. 4LEEfClover (available on Etsy) - for the competitive friend, a card bragging about a PR just might be the right touch. Price : $4.99 each

4. HiLoveGreetings (available on Etsy) - if you know someone who loves to figure skate (we know some of our Born to Reign athletes do), then this card will triple salchow into their heart this holiday season.  Price $5.23 each

5. smallpicsandprojects (available on Etsy) - do you regular train and cycle with friends  who keep you motivated?  Tell them how special they are to you with one of those 5 gorgeous cycling themed holiday cards, each one a different design.  Price: 5-pack - $8.48, 10 pack - $13.86

5. jamieshelman (available on Esty) - continuing with the cycling theme and adding in love of animals, meet Santa Cat.  OK maybe I chose this one because I’m a cat lover :)

6. KLeeArtStudio (available on Etsy) - titled “Deer Tracks” , this card is a reproduction of this artists ink and watercolour painting, bringing multisport to a new level with a pedicab, cyclist, runner and walker deer enjoying the holiday spirit. Price $16.00 each.

7. Embrace Your Inner Crafter - nope, that’s not the name of the shop and it’s not missing a hyperlink to the online store. A few years ago, I started creating my own sports greeting cards, as a means of embracing my creativity and supporting my friends on their big triathlon races.  I was inspired by using very large cookie cutters that I purchased to actually make  Swim, Bike and Run cookies.  I created paper templates of them and made adjustments in my pattern i.e. added a pony tail for a card I created for a girlfriend.  While these samples are not holiday oriented, you are only limited by your imagination of what you can create with holiday theme paper.
